My Story….

Back in grade school, I found myself wearing a sash I hadn’t exactly earned—embroidered with badges I never wanted and a troop number I couldn’t remember. I had joined the Girl Scouts under my mother’s mandate. No fond memories here, except for one that put me on a trajectory of service for the rest of my life.

I found myself volunteering to do the laundry at a senior citizens’ home. Getting through the mounts of laundry was tough work for a 10-year-old, but I didn’t mind because I learned that my service contribution wasn’t about clean laundry as much as it was about exchanging pleasantries with residents. Many lived in their wheelchairs, forgot my name, talked to invisible people, but perked up when they saw me, for they knew they were going to be acknowledged.

That service experience left me deeply humbled, and it inspired me to serve several organizations and causes over the years. Today, my focus has shifted toward a mission I hold close: serving those who serve.

I envisioned a community where women driven by a passion for service are equipped with the resources they need and are surrounded by colleagues who uplift them. It is a space where connection is real, acknowledgment is felt, and everyone feels they belong to something greater than themselves.

My role in life is to build; it’s what I do best. I built two human resource development departments for large corporations, a successful leadership development coaching business, and a career transitions practice.

And now, I’m building again—this time, not just structures or programs, but a movement, one rooted in creating good in the world. From laundry room at age ten to the communities I steward today, the thread has always been connection. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that when we build spaces where women feel seen, supported, and inspired, we don’t just serve—we transform.

And those who are served by them will be forever changed for good.
